Carol Renee HedinI am a native of Bloomington and a graduate of Indiana University. I have a BA in Fine Art and a teaching certificate with a focus on art education. I also studied the Visual Arts at SUNY Purchase in New York. While at Purchase I studied abroad in Spain. I am a stained glass artist, furniture maker, and a sculptor. I enjoy working with numerous mediums, including: glass, paper, wood, metal, stone, and clay. I use recycled materials whenever possible. I enjoy giving an old table or frame a new life through the use of recycled glass or paper pieces. I enjoy creating abstract compositions and exploring juxtapositions of color. I like my work to convey a harmonious, peaceful feeling. I am inspired by nature and flowing patterns. All works are original designs and are one of a kind. |
